It’s May! In addition to all of the end-of-the-year recitals, programs and events, I’m putting together some easy DIY teacher gifts. I love giving gifts, especially for teachers who dedicate so much of their time to teaching and training my children. These fun easy individualized teacher gifts are so meaningful. I have done many gifts over the years, but this year, I wanted to do some thing that was streamlined-yet somehow still personal. With the cost of living going up I didn’t have a ton of funds to dedicate to teacher gifts. So this year, I put together a little pouch for each teacher.

These cute clear bags are from Amazon. I chose the white ones because it is spring and going into summer. They are small and just the right size to add a few goodies to your own DIY teacher gift.
Each bag has an individualized varsity letter sticker according to the teacher’s last name. Aren’t they adorable? You can get them here. I think this adds a cute individualization to each bag.

Each DIY teacher gift bag contains:
- thank you card from a child and I
- their favorite candy
- Burt’s Bees chapstick
I printed off some free thank you papers for my first grader to fill out. There is nothing like a personal note expressing true gratitude and appreciation for the year of dedication.

Our school puts together a teacher list with some favorite ideas. For some of the teachers I purchased an individual candy bar or item. Since so many teachers love dark chocolate, I grabbed a large package of dark chocolates to split up. These DIY teacher gifts are looking so fun!
Looking at the bags I decided they needed a little something more. That’s where I grabbed some Burt’s Bees chapsticks and added one per pouch. I chose that brand because I like it and because they can be for both the male and female teachers.

For a small touch at the end I filled the bags with shredded paper. I will send them with my children the last week of school.
Making DIY teacher gifts is fun, personal and intentional. Just a little gift to share with the teacher as we are super thankful for what they’ve done for this last school year. I hope you can put together a DIY teacher gift this year as well.
